The Multinational School

The brew of the day is an ad of the Multinational School.

By looking at this, I can bet that the color of the walls in the school is turquoise. For heavens sake, they've written the mission statement on their ad! No one likes to read mission statements, no one! To top it off, the design of this ad is so horrible I could have done a better job using Microsoft Word in just 10 minutes. I mean, they didn't even bother to change the default text, which is Times New Roman. If I were a parent, I would want to see the building of the school. Did they put it up? No. If I were a student, I would want to know about the facilities. Did they put it up? No. Suppose I have a 3 year old... does their school have a kindergarten? I wouldn't know that either. The only thing I see in this ad is gibberish text about quality which only potential employees could use in their job interview.

Persil

Take a look at what? The swimsuit, the hat?

Oh, the ad is for Persil! I was meant to look at the whiteness of the TOWEL.

Yep, that's what people do at the beach, compare the whiteness of their towels.

Makes sense.

Yep.

Kelly Clarkson

I am a big fan.

Of Kelly Clarkson, not the ad.

Got milk?!?!?!

Got good English? What is got milk? Goat milk is fine... good milk is fine... got milk? hey neighbour.. got milk? Who in the world asks the question, 'Got Milk'?!

Ok so the idea is to educate people on the benefits of milk (good for the bones, blah blah) and to increase milk usage.

Does it make me want to say: Ohhh milk is good for me, I want milk?

No!

Then what does is make me want to say?

WIPE THE DAMN THING OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a fan of moustaches, and especially not the milk kind.

Seiko Watch

"It's your watch that tells most about who you are" reads the caption. I look at the girl in the picture. I try to see her watch so I'll know who she is. Can't see her watch, don't know who she is. Hate this ad.

Kleenex

Sheer genius! Well at least I thought it was. Definitely attention-grabbing, but not for the right purpose. If you read the small print, this is a Greenpeace protest for Kleenex tissues, claiming that they wipe away ancient forests. I don't think Greenpeace will be successful in their protests with this... it will merely make people look in admiration. To protest, you usually need to SHOW something negative rather than to WRITE something negative. Instead of using a nice tissue box, they could have drawn a sad face on a dying tree to make their point. Meanwhile, KLEENEX should be using trucks like this!

Wanted: Your most hated advertisements for review

If you've been reading my blog and even remotely like what you see, please feel free to send me an advertisement for review at ditzeefritzee[@]yahoo.com. It can be something you saw in a magazine, on a website, wherever.

Baskin Robbins ice-cream

Tell me they didn't. Noooo!

I'm horrified to find an ad like this that does no justice to Baskin Robbins' reputation. I mean, this is the kind of advertisement I see in newspapers for pest control! You know, the ones where they use a clip-art of a cockroach, write some unknown company's name and write the phone number in bold. Very yellow-pages-ish.

Where is the logo? Where is a picture of the delicious ice-cream I've become addicted to? Why did they have to put a dog wagging it's tail? WHYYYY?

By the way, look at this purple ball I found. You put some ingredients in it, play with the ball and voila - you've made ice-cream! It's one of those hit-or-miss wacky ideas. It'd be fun I suppose...

My blog's fantastic review

I'm estatic! My blog just got reviewed at Bloggy Award and not only did I get 9/10 but I also got some wicked comments. My favorite one goes, "This site is strictly for smart people. The opening page might have been some sort of test intended to keep the stupid lot out". You HAVE to read it, it's so well-written and hilarious! Thank you Bloggy Award!
